Are You Eligible For A Free Home Sustainability Assessment & Interest Free Green Loan?
To check your Free Home Sustainability Assessment eligibility, you need to meet the following criteria:
You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia, aged 18 or over.
You have a taxable income no greater than $250,000 per annum.
You are the home owner, trustee or renter listed on the lease.
The home being assessed must:
Be in Australia or its territories, and be your principal place of residence.
Have been completed and occupied for at least 12 months by someone.
You must allow the Green Loans Program access to your energy / water consumption information for a period of 12 months (where available) preceding the Assessment, and up to 24 months after the Assessment. This data is an extremely important part of the Green Loans Program, allowing environmental impact analysis and Green Loans Program evaluation.
Note: Government owned dwellings are not eligible. Dwellings owned by corporate organisations or companies are not eligible. Where the dwelling is owned by an Australian Registered Charity, you must have the full legal authority to apply on the organisation's behalf.
Application Conditions For A FREE Home Sustainability Assessment.
To receive you FREE Home Sustainability Assessment you must:
Agree to the terms and conditions in the Householder Application, provided on booking the assessment.
Provide details of the home, including contact details and names of other household members.
Allow the Home Sustainability Assessor access to the home to conduct the inspection and collect the data.
Actively participate in the assessment process by answering all reasonable questions about the household's interaction with the energy and water systems, as so requested by the assessor.
Are You Eligible To Apply For A Subsidised Interest FREE Green Loan?
To check your Interest Free $10K Green Loan eligibility you need to meet the following criteria:
- Be the recipient of a valid Home Sustainability Assessment Report for the home.
- Be either the owner of the home or a trustee of the home (as shown on the current title) or listed on the current lease of the home at the time of applying for the Green Loan.
- You must have a taxable income no greater than $250,000 per annum. Suitable evidence of income may include the most recent Notice of Assessment produced by the Australian Taxation Office.
- You are only eligible for one Green Loan per Assessment Report.
Your eligibility for a subsidised Green Loan DOES NOT affect any Federal or State subsidies, rebates and incentives for the same items or actions under other programs.

Application Conditions For A Interest Free Green Loan.
To receive an interest free Green Loan for your home, you must:
Apply for the Green Loan from a participating Financial Institution. Within 6 months of the date of issue of a valid Home Sustainability Assessment Report and by 31 March 2013 at the latest. A list of participating Financial Institutions is published on the Australian Government's Green Loan Program Website.
